Bio

Tony Zain, a songwriter, vocalist, producer and instrumentalist (primarily harmonica & guitar) was born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. His family crossed the pond and moved to the States when he was only 5 years old. Growing up in Southern California, Zain was greatly influenced by America’s culture and counter culture, primarily music (Country & Western, Rock, Blues, Motown, Jazz, & Bluegrass etc.). However, he considers himself a writer first and foremost. Evidence thereof is presented in his upcoming 13 song album titled “Ghost of the Americas,” in part a reflection his fascination with the “Old West.”

He currently resides on the great western plains at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Northern Colorado where he believes he feels the influence of the “Old West” and its cowboy culture almost first hand. Being in the right place at the right time is a formula for success say’s Zain. “Ghost of the Americas” was recorded at The Recordium in Fort Collins starting back in early 2017. It is supported by a cast of great talents like Jasco Duende, Mer Sal, Don Stahl (The Symbols), and Cary Morin to name a few.
